Game 6: (Chris doesn't care) What really happened to Drew?

Game 6 pits Schneida.com against WRIF. It's unknow if WRIF is composed of actual WRIF employees, or they just have an impressive sponsorship, but either way they're usually a handful. Schneida.com has played WRIF once in the past and lost by a bottom of the 7th run.

If you've ever listened to the WRIF you should be aware of their morning show, formerly Drew and Mike. Drew took an indefinite leave of absence from the show to care for his lady. Recently it became public knowledge that Drew would not be returning to the show..... but did we ever hear why???? Who better to ask than the WRIF?

But Chris doesn't care anyhow...

Photos from Game 5-- Huskypants showdown!

Here it is, folks, the game we have been waiting for. Orange against orange, grudge match #1. Two teams that epitomize the game of coed slow pitch softball, full of all the emotion you'd expect-- tears and elation, rage and love, comedy and tragedy. Last year Huskypants attempted to assassinate yours truly with a fastball to the back of the head, but Schneida.com returned the treachery by knocking them out of the playoffs.

In this, the first of two games they play against each other, we managed to come out on top and win, 13 to 9 (I think), improving our record to 4-1. Very little blood was spilled this time.

Abigail's first ballgame. She slept through it but did not once cry, which is more than we can say for some of our players.

Yeah, okay, cute dog with the cute tongue sticking out and the cute ear cocked. Really trying hard to become our mascot, but we have yet to see him poop.

Game 5: A Sea of Orange

This week Schneida.com (3-1) takes on their long time nemesis The Husky Pants (2-2). This will also be the first week, barring last minute illness or other conflict, that Schneida.com will field their complete roster.

A rough day at the plate lead to Schneida.com's first loss last week to Compuware. The final of 13-9 proved that a better hitting perfomance by the team can provide a win the next time around.

Game 4: Battle of the Titans

Game's are on tonight!

7:30, IN2 (a)

Tonight Schneida.com (3-0) will face off against Compuware, also 3-0, for the league lead. Coming into Wednesday's battle, Compuware has defeated D-town, V&R trucking, and Husky Pants. The first two Schneida.com has handled nicely.

Schneida.com will be missing a few key players this evening and will be welcoming back another. Kim is currently in Italy, but will be back with the team next week, while Dave will be chained to his desk somewhere in Indiana. Alison will be joining the team for the first time this season. That makes an equal roster.

Last season Compuware finished 4th in the division and split the season series with Schneida.com. We should have a further scouting report at game time.

Game 3: Scoring like a football team

Who woulda thunk? 3-0, outscoring our opponents 59-13. In game 3, we had little mercy on the shorthanded V&R Trucking, winning 21-6. It was a cold, rainy game, though, so the camera mostly stayed in its plastic bag. You'll have to use your imagination.

Thanks to Kim's cousin for playing and to Mama Alisha for letting Daddy Doug escape for a couple of hours.

Steph is always a blur. This is about the best shot we can get. I think she is dancing. Or shotputting. Nobody ever knows what she is doing half the time. She's just Steph.

"I hate to say it, Pitcher, but that is the worst pitch I have ever seen."

Game 2: Is that really the score?

Yes, we won 28-2. Yes, 28-2. That's right, 28-2. We are now 2-0 and in danger of being a really good team.

Game 1 Victory over P.O.D.!

schneida.com goes 1-0 despite a lot of rusty groans from the old men, Dave and Chris. We had a hot start and then let our defense take over after our bats got cold. The game ended with a dramatic catch by Molly with the bases loaded and the sun completely gone from the sky.

Playoffs begin August 5!

Welcome, softball team of greatness!

A website was promised and now it has been delivered. This blog will list everything you could possibly want to know about schneida.com softball, perhaps the only slow-pitch coed softball team sponsored by an art website in the nation!

Look for photos, stats, coach's comments, and team input. Everyone is welcome to contribute! We'll see where this thing takes us.
