Game 7-- back on track
After reworking the line up, the bats came alive for schneida.com, scoring 13 runs in one inning. After they tied the game up at 6 in the third with a grand slam, everything exploded after that, eventually being called after 5 innings with the score 23-7. Doug walked three times and several players were never put out, but the real hero was Allison, playing a mean first with pneumonia. And, of course, Dave, playing with a 40+ year-old body.

Game 6--WRIF rocks
This was the first good-weather game of the season, which is bad news for us. Doug went around to all their players in awe of being around people associated with his favorite radio station. Dave buddied up to their pitcher with... was that a hug? So much for hating your opponent and wanting to rip out their guts and grind them into the ground. We started the game with a strike out again, and then things got worse. WRIF scored what seemed to be dozens of runs in the first inning. We played game out, scoring one or two runs each inning. Shockingly, the game was close late in the game. We couldn't get the bats going, though, to sustain a strong inning and ended up losing 12-8. We are now 4-2, but 1-2 in our last 3, due mainly to our lack of scoring. Defense is looking pretty good, though. If only we can start to hit that large yellow ball moving oh so slowly.

"Hey, do you work at the Riff? Really? Do you know any of the djays? Wow. That must be awesome. What are they like? I bet they are hilarious to hang out with. I imagine Chuck looks like that guy in My Name is Earl. Where do they hang out? Maybe I could meet them someday. I love music, too. I'll bet we'd be great friends. I listen all this time, so it is like we are friends alreaady. I could like hang out in the studio and stuff. Do you get to? Think you could get me in? They'd be cool with it as soon as they met me. I met a djay on the some country station. That was cool, but WRIF is so much better. I mean, WRIF rocks, ya know? Queensryche, GNR, Creed. Man, it's awesome. Okay, well, I better go play shortstop, but we'll talk, okay?"
